WHY HOT YOGA?
Hot Yoga is based on a fundamental scientific principle:
That heat accelerates chemical reactions.
And since your body operates through biochemical reactions, speeding up these reactions produces faster results.
About Hot Yoga
Hot yoga is an incredible practice for focusing on breath, releasing toxins, and challenging the body in new ways. With heat, we facilitate stretching, sweat more, and breathe deeper, increasing oxygen intake to our muscles and organs. Heat also helps our muscles loosen up for even deeper and safer stretching. It opens pores to release skin toxins through sweat, prevents injuries by lubricating joints, and boosts heart rate for better cardiovascular exercise (increased blood flow, circulation, and metabolism). Heat also aids in detoxifying the body, leaving you feeling energized and rejuvenated! We maintain a comfortable and healthy humidity level of 40-50%. This humidity prevents sweat from evaporating. When sweat stays on the skin, it allows our body’s cooling system (sweating) to do what it’s meant to do – maintain a safe internal body temperature. Contrary to popular belief, our humidity doesn’t make you sweat more; lack of evaporation helps prevent dehydration that you might experience in a heated environment without adequate humidity.
Benefits
The greatest benefits of Hot Yoga manifest when yoga is included in your daily routine: We suggest once or twice a week for maintenance and three or more times a week for transformation!
Increased strength and flexibility
Yoga postures balance these qualities, fostering sustained mobility and a graceful physique.
Enhanced sense of calm and well-being
The impact on the endocrine and nervous systems is profound, allowing for better sleep, reduced reactivity to daily life stressors, and improved relationships. Hot yoga also enhances creativity, which can aid in problem-solving and communication.
Anti-aging
Yoga is a lifelong practice that keeps you youthful and vibrant. Regular hot yoga classes will give you a strong, flexible body and keep your mind sharp!
Improved immunity
Hot yoga is particularly powerful in boosting our body’s immunity through lymphatic system massage, normalization of hormonal systems, stress reduction, improved sleep, deep relaxation, and a sense of calm.
Weight loss
Hot yoga aids in calorie burning, and it makes you more mindful of what you put into your body – promoting healthier cravings. Hot yoga balances appetite. Certain postures increase thyroid compression and stimulate the endocrine system – both play a crucial role in regulating metabolism. From personal experience, we know it works!
